Sean Barraclough
The developer behind Pit Lane Data
Sean Barraclough builds independent websites that turn public data into something people can use. Pit Lane Data is one of them. It takes Formula 1 timing data, cleans it, and lays out the statistics, lap analysis and race odds that fans actually look for, without the clutter of a large publisher.
The same idea runs through his other projects. Aurora Tonight forecasts when and where the northern lights might be visible. Close Approach tracks asteroids passing near Earth. Each site starts from a raw, often messy public dataset and ends as a fast, focused tool.
Pit Lane Data is independent and not affiliated with Formula 1. The race odds are a data-derived guide, not a prediction or betting advice.

You can see the same approach on his other sites:
- Aurora Tonight: aurora forecasts and viewing conditions.
- Close Approach: near-Earth asteroid tracking.
