Kimi Antonelli turned pole position into a commanding win at the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix, leading every phase of a race that the marshals stopped four separate times. He took pole, set the fastest lap and won, the cleanest possible weekend on the hardest circuit to pass.

Monte Carlo did what Monte Carlo does. Two safety-car periods and four red flags carved the race into short, tense stints, and seven drivers failed to reach the flag. Max Verstappen, Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc were among those who retired, so track position at the front became almost impossible to challenge.

Antonelli managed each restart without error and finished 6.271 seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Pierre Gasly took third for Alpine, a strong result from a driver who has made a habit of finishing where others crash out. Isack Hadjar came home fourth, with Oscar Piastri fifth.
The lap traces flatten around each stoppage, a reminder of how little green-flag running this race offered.
Fernando Alonso produced the recovery of the day, climbing eleven places through the stoppages and attrition. The pace, by contrast, stayed locked to qualifying: with overtaking so rare, Saturday set the order and Sunday confirmed it.
The win extended Antonelli’s championship lead and underlined how far his season has come. Lap times, the race-control log and every team-radio clip are on the Monaco race page.
